CONFIDENCE

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalms 1:3

     God is responsible for success.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Philippians 1:6)

     I like to watch boxing.  I know that bothers some people but I just love to see two people fight who are not members of my church.  The problem I have with boxing is that there is no loser!  Even the guy who gets knocked senseless gets a pile of money!

     Well, that’s boxing.  This is Life in Christ and we can claim the promise of prosperity.  Wait!  I’m not talking about the prosperity some of those weird TV preachers that tell you that God will give prosperity if you send them money.  I would be more of that kind of prosperous if everyone would send me money.

     Prosperity literally means to “push forward.”  The Psalm 1 prosperity is actually “progress.”  Just exactly what we need.  A life of progressive fulfillment that does not end.
